Raised high above the mass
Of growing stalks and stems
Wide open arms claiming all
The fields....safe from the flock
Planning the unwanted picking
Of their share of ripening corn
The crops stand untouched
By the freedom of the beaks
The fake human guards in silence
His very presence enough to cast doubts
In the minds of the tweeting birds
Who dare not fly over the field
As they spy the stuffed man
With straw and husks assembled
Into a weird likeness of a human
Resembling a man in uniform
Or a clown in office.
A precise metaphorical poem with social implications. Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem with us.
He told me that God is there in the scarecrow to protect the cornfield. But you have explained it so well.
When I was a child I wanted to know it from my grandfather. He explained me differently
When people are fake and their acts doubtful, there are gaps everywhere. Life itself turns fake! Intriguing and enigmatic.
just excellently crafted; beautiful theme you have been depicted on Scarecrow. I enjoyed fullly; greet 5*****

The fake human guards in silence His very presence enough to cast doubts In the minds of the tweeting birds Who dare not fly over the field...the significance of putting scarecrow in the cornfield is beautifully explained.
