In darkened box sits the scare.
Construe we only; demons fare.
Slumped head on deflated chest.
Jumps to fore at our behest.
Slide the catch on the jack’s front.
Out jumps a monster for his hunt.
We’ll jump too put to the test.
Feign some spine and some zest.
He’s whatever the master wants.
Add too to it, his favorite rants.
Tug the strings an have it rock.
Billow it into a scary windsock.
He’ll cater to your every whim
Talk an dance and do the swing
This monster’s dance will never end
Alive In our mind that’s done the bend
Monsters thrive in our minds ache
Mostly created and nourished a fake

The last line is truth. Many monsters are fake and come from our imagination, or tales told by others.
