Happy New Year Mark! Good & bad are a part and parcel of our life. I guess it is the law of life.
Nothing is bad. All happen with a purpose. So well penned. Thank-you. This positive aspects revives our downsizing hope.

Thank you so much, Poet. I hope all is well and that you are peparing for a Happy New Year!
Very Wise Mr. Lemon. I think you're a poet. Very brilliant indeed Bravo! Bravo!
I have a friend who just got his left leg amputated. And so narrowly escaped from his right one being amputated. I thought that he would be severely depressed. Yet, I spoke to him yesterday and found him to be in good spirits. He told me that it could have been a lot worse. That he could have died. And that he would have missed out on his daughter finally reconciliating with him. Your good poem has put things in proper perspective!
Richard, such moving words, Your friend sounds like a truly remarkable person. Thank you so very much, Richard.
stanza 2 line 7 " and no on else" oops. " no onE" easy error! Yes, i have such thoughts some of these mornings, before i rise. : ( But where is MY one friend? last stanza Yes, becoming one's own friend may help, & be better than no/few consoling friends at all bri ;)
As is usual, your verses have caused me to stop and ponder and see a new version of what I think- - but I think for my inner health I will continue to try to live thinking things could have been worse.... but I shall keep that reflection to myself as you are right- it could cause hurt to others! Bless you, Mj! Top marks! ! !
Thank you so much, Susan...And you have me reflecting on the great comedian/comic who once said...'things could always be worse.' Perhaps the key to that is knowing when not to be the/a factor that triggers the eventuality. Again, thank you so much.
You have a point, dear friend, you have a point! I would hate to bring doom and gloom down on myself or anyone else! The good Lord knows there's enough of that going on outside our doors--we sure don't need to invite it inside!
If only! I feel the same. I wish this year will change attitudes God Willing. Bravo!
Sharing words to friend should be suited to the person. Myself, the way i say can be different from one to another. No matter what good friends word are remedy to bruises... the best one keep it better
