Shy - Poem by Gordon Jerome

I lust for a woman I can never have
With beauty and brains and a body so rave
A smile in her eyes a smirk on her face
A glow all about her that brightens my space
But she’ll never know the feelings I hide
Lustful thoughts and wishes I keep deep inside
For I long for the taste of her on my lips
Of running my hands cross her soft supple hips
Of stroking her hair and holding her tight
Of being her one that makes everything right
But this shy lonely man shall never know
The taste of her essence, or warmth of her glow
So I’ll continue to enjoy her the best I can
Her secret admirer, this shy lonely man.
“closing thought”
Shyness often affects a lot more than just one
It can defeat so many pleasures before they’ve begun
