Siddhartha And Gautama Buddha - Ii Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

Siddhartha And Gautama Buddha - Ii

Rating: 5.0

Before the king to whom brief absence
Of the prince was not new appeared Channa,
The charioteer and unfolded thestory
The king felt like an arrow piercing his heart

Placing at the king's feet the heirloom jewellery
and the kingly attire the prince entrusted to him
Channa knelt down saying, "behead me my lord,
Such a grave mistake is that I have committed"

"It's not your mistake, it's all the decision of God,
The prophecy that he would be great one day
As an emperor or as a sage is becoming true
Our Siddhartha will be a great sage! ", he replied
