Since You've Gone Away.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Since You've Gone Away....

Rating: 5.0

Since You've Gone Away….

I don't know what's going on with me today
the beautiful blue clouds seem so evil gray
and my vibrant green lawn is so full of dust
I have no love nor any l.u.s.t.
since you've gone away

I don't like coffee and I don't like tea anymore
my lunch is not good, my throat is so sore
no storytelling, no prose or poetry
no walks to green meadows
nor play in the cool shadows
since you've gone away

days remaining long nights now
I cannot handle life somehow
I cannot laugh nor smile a bit
and so many candles I never lit
since you've gone away….

I've been twice to Paramaribo, Suriname
in 2007 and in 2008
Really enjoyed the country, but for creating
poetry, only laments,
so sorry, but I can't give an explanation

would you please read and add your response?

I'd appreciate that very much

thank you so much beforehand

Days are too long. This is difficult to handle life. What is wrong with you today is unknown but still mind feels the nature in different way. Beautiful blue cloud looks evil grey. Green lawn is full of dust and no love is found. Today you do not like coffee or to or play under shed. This provokes thought. But we hope you will feel God's grace and find natural love within poetic mind. This poem is very brilliantly and excellently penned...10

A marvelous poem! You could have spelled out the word l, u, s, t, in your poem. You just can't do it in a comment!
