Slip into my fantasy
Walk into my dream
Clasp my hand in paradise
‘Neath a soft sunbeam
Touch me as a summer breeze
Gentle on my face
Keep me close against your heart
Warm in your embrace
Slide into my memory
So I’ll ne’er forget
Linger there within my mind
That I shall not fret
Step into my glist’ning eyes
Greet me with your smile
Feel my gaze upon your face
Tarry there awhile
Hold onto my shadow cast
Never set me free
Wrap me in your tender love
Through eternity
Journey deep into my soul
Find the love that’s there
Joined together, two as one
All our life to share
What beautiful words. I particularly like verse 5, words that so many need. Great job Val. Kevin's message made me laugh.
A very lovely poem, fantasizing passionate yearning. I find it difficult to single out any particular stanza for praise as whole poem is, as it were, carved out of a single stone much like lovely figures of Ajanta Caves.
From what I gather, your style is soft like opaque sunbeams and always carried in a tone of dignity. Beautiful
Soothing, mellow and full of wonderful enchantment! Beautiful write!
The tender love and the manner you have portrayed it with lovely rhyming scheme is greatly alluring, Valerie! KUDOS!
