Small Things Mean The World - Poem by Adnana Saric
I'm not with you for your money or for luxury times,
I'm with you because I'm glad that you are mine.
I don't expect you to buy me expensive jewelry,
It doesn't have the meaning of love to me.
You don't need to await me with expensive dinners and luxury hotel rooms,
The simple fact of being with you makes me bloom.
I don't need clothes that will leave you screaming broke,
To me, all of this is just a joke.
Notes that are written by your hand,
Let me know that you're happy to be my man.
Jewelry that's been passed down from your family,
Makes me feel special to the extreme.
A simple hug and kiss that you give,
Is better than anything money can buy.
Small things mean the world because they are from the heart,
Why would I want bought things if that money tears you apart?
You are good enough for me, the way you are,
Because I didn't fall in love with your money,
I fell in love with you, who to my heart is a star!
