Smell Of The Dead Poem by Rini Shibu

Smell Of The Dead

Rating: 5.0

The breeze softly came and
brought me the smell of dry leaves
When It sweeped through the dryness
Rustling and swishing of leaves I heard
I sensed the mustiness of the dead
Tears rolled out of memories
My heart is breaking oh gentle breeze
Come back to me I am waiting for you
I wished to see once more those greens
Bring to me the freshness of scented flowers
One more time, the kiss of life
Be with me for one more day
