Sober Poem by Crystal Pierce

Sober

Rating: 5.0

I can look you in the eye
without being drunk or high.
I can tell you I love you without anything in my system.
But without it, you seem distant.
I don't trust a buzzed 'Love you'
I LOVE YOU!
Say it sober.
No more saying 'I love you' with a hangover.
The alcohol has to stop.
The weed has to stop.

Yes! ! ! ! ! "Alcohol has to stop/the weed has to stop" before you are taken seriously! Quite right, Cryssa.

Saying 'I love you' has a meaning when you're saying it sober. Excellent poem
