There seem to be no stars tonight
At least, for now they're out-of-sight
Just the solitary Moon dominates the sky.
The sky is very overcast
So, 'til the gloomy clouds have passed,
The Moon is all that meets the eye.
It's nearly quarter to eleven
The Moon enthroned as Queen of Heaven,
As she smiles at us from on high.
Mesmerizing poem, PP! I have enjoyed very much your dashing words. A 10++++++ for the vote.God's Blessings in Abundance.
But, this poem of you does to me, PP. I have the idea, that I see more than you in your own creation, or is that a humble gesture from you? Perhaps because I am a paintress too? I think here lies the secret of your mesmerizing poem. I am happy too that you have accepted my compliment, PP!
Thank you, Sylvia Frances! Don't know how such a short, simple poem can be mesmerizing, but I'll happily take the compliment! God bless you, too, always! :)
even thou we're far apart, I see the moon fills your heart- there is no need for the stars tonight. cause your smile brightens up the night
