Somewhere Out There Poem by Cowboy Ron Williams

Somewhere Out There

Rating: 5.0

Somewhere out there
is a woman
who will love me
for who I am.

I will not find her
in a tavern
or a barroom.

Somewhere out there
is a woman
who loves poetry
as much as I do.

There must be a woman
who still loves
getting flowers and candy.

I need a woman
who is not afraid
to get to know me
just because I have been around
for eight decades.

I've been to a lot of rodeos
over the years,
but believe me,
I can still ride.

How can I find a woman
who likes the Colorado Rockies
and the Denver Broncos
and the Nuggets,

but also likes quiet evenings
reading or chatting
while holding hands
next to the fireplace?

If she likes the movies
or the opera
or playing bridge
or board games,
I can do all those.

Somewhere out there
is such a woman.
