Song At Sixty Poem by Brian Purdy

Song At Sixty

Rating: 5.0

Bring fire-flies to the wedding feast
Cast your spell on the rough-coat beast
In the quiet where the crickets sing
One word changes everything.

Let bluebirds climb the rose-red sky
Bring your best, now, don't be shy
In the quiet where the serpent sleeps
Worship love on bended knees

All you believed was first comes last
All you thought the present is past
In the quiet where you thought to end
The burning sun once more ascends.

I do love the poem, especially the last two lines; there's a lot of depth and mystery happening here. Great writing.

Many things ought to be taken into consideration when someone stands before your poetry, but the most important thing is the system your words behind.. words in system as soldiers in discipline..as if you were in someway, somehow somekind of a man in command..joking//\\..outstanding..indeed PHDAHMEDKHALED....YOURFRIENDFOREVER...YOUARETRUEPOET
