It's time to open doors
Letting in a dancing ray
That far-off apparition of hope
As we sit with patience reaching out
For the victory of the small insect
A word escapes, a cry travels over
The long dark night of waiting
But look over there, a slit in the metal
The freshly oiled hinges, a beetle
Perched on the fledgling foliage
The dispersed wind in nooks
Uninhabited, the window streaked
With the stillness of small wonders
I wish I could say I love you.
As we sit with patience reaching out/For the victory of the small insect/A word escapes, a cry travels over....appreciated the keen poetic observation. A wonderful poem. Top score!
