Stalemate Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Stalemate

Where does a stalemate go?
To leave no one on the left.
Or the right to take a step.

Where does a stalemate go?
And at the benefit,
Of what or who.

People see this and are made convinced,
A kept ignorance has power.
People see this and are made convinced,
A kept ignorance has its power.

Remaining in the middle has no defense.
To feel protected.
As if accepted.

Remaining in the middle has no defense.
What is accepted to feel as if protected.

Where does a stalemate go to win what.
To feel protected.
While the people go neglected.

Where does a stalemate go to win what.
Besides division.
And indecision to defend.

People see this and are made convinced.
Fools are self made and not born to create.
A stalemate.
To celebrate.
Their ignorance to prove it has power!
