Streetwise Poem by Wojja Fink

Streetwise

Rating: 5.0

Pavements lamposts tarmac cars
Litter with words graffiti scars
Letterbox signs parking meter
Traffic warden wages eater
Pubs shops coffee houses
Polish girls in English blouses
Trenches dug for brand new wires
Carrying sport or singing choirs
Walking talking passing strangers
Babies drive by in four wheeled mangers
Sunlight clouds April showers
Watering trees in shady bowers
Shrieks of brakes a near collision
Foul mouth words condemning vision
Road rage explodes in foul derision
Anger clouds once seeing eyes,
Driving test excludes streetwise.

Almost sounds like the streets of Mumbai...and other major world metros. Glad for making distances nearer, even though its for maddening reasons! Cheers old boy. Subroto

I wish DVLA could restructure its tests in tandem with this great poem! It gives me a great picture of someone residing by the busy street.10++

I could hear and see all the commotion from living on the street. Very interesting 10++
