Summer Rain Poem by Rema Prasanaa

Summer Rain

Summer Rain
by Rema Prasanna

Rain in summer
Unexpected
Wild and fierce
Caused a shudder
In Vembanad Lake
Its long and large sphere
Perplexed and astonished
Yacht quivered in wind speed
Boat man pulled hard
His veins on neck protruded
Over aged and over worked
Poverty of down strode
A pain from within
Farmers cried on one curse
From gods of heaven
Depressed ocean’s mood swings
Crushed the shore
Rain in summer
Submerged in anxiety
Earth awesome
Moved ahead
Not challenged
Not perturbed

Captured that scene really well! Good ending too, where the focus seems to shift... and becomes more universal!

Indeed the Oceans are seeing a mood swing and change! The paper is full of 'El Nino' effect! Due to global warming, & the accumulation of heat over the Pacific, - is going to delay and weaken the Monsoon currents this year! Leading to semi- draught situation and rise in vegetable prices! So, I do sincerely pray with you, that our good earth may remain undaunted! 10+ -Raj Nandy

This poem is really very nice as mood swings are a common thing in us humans as well as in god which he reflects by giving us Storms which shake a being in realizing how weak a human is as someone is above.
