SUNK IN THE NIGHT

Life was never pleasant for me;
Perhaps, pleasure was never meant to be.
One step forward but ten steps backward;
For 1 thousand, losing 10 thousand is absurd!
One after another harder catastrophe;
Mentally, physically, financially daily!
Day comes after the night which is a natural law;
I am sunk in the night where only dark I swallow!
A sad, meaningful poem that ensures beauty of rhythm.Mentally, physically, financially daily!
Surely poignant poem. Good rhyme scheme and use of exquisite vocabulary makes it rhythmic too. Enjoyed. Thank You for sharing
Such a heart-rending poem! Written with brilliant succinctness!
