Survival Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Survival

Rating: 5.0

Just walk on by
There's nothing to see
Except a heart breaking from loneliness
Just walk on by
As you watch the lovers quarrel
Knowing that you don't get involved
But wishing secretly you want to take them
And slap their faces
For Losing each other in a fight over something trivial
Because yr heart is cracking under pressure
By the lonely night, you look to the stars
And wonder if they get sad
In the vast solitude of the universe
Or they are happy when they see each other
Just walk on by
Because the more you watch;
Less likely you will survive
