Swept Away Poem by Practicing Poetess

Swept Away

Rating: 5.0

I'm swept away
By a tidal wave
Of new emotions
I've never felt.
But, somewhere
Deep inside
The innermost part of me,
I believe I knew
That it could be
This way.
I just never imagined
That it could happen
For me.

All changes with Time, As it evaporates in us, Memories and pain, A blurring syndrome So we don't go insane And yet, everything, Though less poignant With a mellowing refrain, Does remain. You're emotions, in this poem, are transmitted in a most unusual and mysterious good way.

Sandra, I'm sure you'll concur- - The good feelings /memories are the ones we cherish, the ones that we want to retain. The bad ones? I'd just as soon give myself a case of amnesia concerning those! Thank you for your valued appreciation of my work.
