Talk The Truth Poem by Atasha Williams

Talk The Truth

Rating: 3.0

Truth (Part I)
Talk the truth
From creation,
to the 'fruit'
From 'Heaven' to 'Hell'
I need the truth to tell
Want to tell the youth
All about the truth...

Hmmmmmmmm...
But....
Who knows the truth...
None of us do,
Know for sure what is true.
So what can we do?
When honest people are few...
What can I do?
When I search for knowledge
From you.

I studied a bit from a Hindu
Dharma and Karma sound fair
I learned some more from a Muslim
Selected Surahs ensure that we care
I spent some more time with some Baptists
They seemed to be different from all
They believed we are one with nature
Upon ancient deities do they call.

In History class they taught us that slaves lived in fear
White masters chose everything for them, even what to wear,
So why did they just accept
Doctrine that was shoved down their throat
Why did the elders kept
Unknown religion that was taught on the boat

They lost their sense of being,
They deserted heritage and culture.
Now they carry around an empty feeling,
Lost is old History for their future.

Black people ended up to be such a damnned race,
Is Black traders who sold their brothers in the first place,
We have no one else to blame but our forefathers
For the curse that befalls generations hereafter.

Beautiful dear Atasha . we have to write about all the injustices in the world, in the history and the injustices of manipulating other human beings for their private profit. God bless you for this poem. tony

Shall be looking for the second installment. If you really are looking for truth, you must go to the source, the oldest book if you really want to know. Don't rely on the opinions of those who only can give their own thoughts. Read mine - If There Be No God - Adeline

Too much anger is shown due to injustice that men suffer in this world. Waiting for part II.
