Target Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Target

Rating: 5.0

A soldier has target at fierce foe,
An angry man aims at sharp toe.

Devotees have target to meet God,
Their children aim at prayer and nod.

Students have target at achieving goal,
Politicians aim at success in each poll.

Doctors target to get more patients,
Mother aims at children to be patient.

Poet, poetess target to be popular poet,
Damsel aims at having attractive pot.

Carnivorous animals target at prey,
Divine family targets peace by pray.

And what is the target in your mind?
Is it peace, noble, sacrifice or kind?

Everybody aims for his or her target as a matter of daily routine and practice. But the ultimate aim for all human activity is to attain peace in life as you have rightly pointed out: Divine family targets peace by pray.

What ever each one aims at, real target is one's own satisfaction, at the expense of anything under the sun, may be. Inspiring poem. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, we all have different targets in our life. but the ultimate target of each man should be achieving the crown of being a real human being by spreading peace and kindness for others. great write with a philosophical ending. liked it so much. thank you.

Many targets are subliminal, aimed at with subconscious or societally mandated weapons. But first target must be noble, for the benefit of fellow men
