Teaching Our Children Poem by louis rams

Teaching Our Children

Rating: 5.0

Children by the age of three, are happy and carefree
Boys will build and then destroy all of their favorite toys.
Girls will be with Barbie dolls and kitchenettes and acting grown up and puttingvon mommy's dress.
By the time they are four or five they are in Pre- k with other children learning to play.
Then come the years of reading writing and arithmetic turning their stomachs and making them sick.
Then come the excuses of mommy / daddy I'm not feeling well! Can I stay home and my teacher you'll tell.
Now it's backpacks and books and with it thise dirty looks
Then they start getting a little older and their backpacks now become folders.
During this entire time teachers are there by their sides
Training and explaining all they need to know and watching them as they grow.the teachers are there helping them every step of the way, showing them thers a time to study and a time to play.
(thank you teachers)
