Telescopes Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Telescopes

In this infinite world of space,
I've always kept my distance.
Waiting for the day a shooting star
Would grace me with its presence.
A lot of time has passed. Waiting and wondering.
Waiting for the sparkle of eyes
To come darting into my life.
So I'd have no use for this telescope
