That All The Universe Should Hear...
That all the universe
Should hear and join in our music
We are given the earth
As instrument
Its rivers as strings
For sounding board, its inner caves
As plectrum, our hearts
As voice, what winds we may control
Blowing ever east to west
Mind to spirit.
Imagine, then
Between the listening stars
And transmitting quasars
A music large as humanity
- If only we will learn
(Again?) to play it.
