The music of the seas
The rythm of the waves
The diving of the sea gulls
The sounds of the the fish
Swimming across the waters
All this and more I heard
As I placed the conch to my ear.
Sandra, living near water myself I have always had a fascination for the large bodies of it and the vast array of creatures within it. This beautiful poem brought all that to me and more. Top marks and hanks for sharing it with us my friend. Hugs David
So true. Your poetic mind could well identify those different sounds. There is a very famous Karthikeya (Murugan) temple in Tiruchendur near Tuticorin. There is a hole in the wall that abuts the sea. If we put our ear to the hole, we can listen to the sound of OM. I went to that temple so many times and ofcourse very recently few days ago and enjoyed listening to the OMKARA again, apart from the divine bliss we all take in the temple premises. Your poem reminded me.......all that.
Yes..the earphone for the sea-language....we are filled with the divine decibels....nice reading Sandra...thank you
i love conches....one can never get tired of their music...!
A poet must be able to tell different from others...a lot of things in few lines...there he needs imagination... Good piece Sandra...artful imaginative...10
YES, dear....they say, if conch is listened to with full concentration, it results in amazing effect because the vabrations of sound are equivalent to chanting of AUM.....
