The Grains Of Sand On The Beach Of Normandy....

Rating: 1.0

The Grains Of Sand On The Beach Of Normandy….

During our holidays in Normandy,
we sat on the beach,
digging my toes in the sand
and lifting them up
to watch everything fall back onto the shoreline

It is impossible to say
how many grains of sand there have been between those toes over the years

And there's no way of knowing
how old each grain is
and where it started

How it got there
jammed between my toes

On vacation by the water
we have carried a lot of sand away
from the beach over the years
in shoes, wagons, buckets and cars
full of sandy grains

We all carry a lot of sand away
from the coast
on our vacation
and when we go home

But one grain of sand between our teeth catches our attention, doesn't it?

That one grain stands out
from all the other grains
we've dragged and played around
thrown around and shaped into sandcastles...

God's voice is like
that grain of sand
Unmistakable
and hard to shake
when we turn up the volume
of the voice of hope and love
in our lives....

We may be one person in a vast world,
but to Him we are also that grain of sand

Unmistakably

The one He calls His...
His friends... the one He loves

Today's verse begs us to listen
to that one grain of sand

By listening to Jesus,
we learn what love is
and how we come to know love

He walked on this earth for many days
in sandals... with sand amongst His toes
He is not as far from understanding us
as we realize...
even when we realize who He is

Listening to Christ is
believing
and following

To believe Him is to accept Him
as our personal Saviour

All it takes is simple prayer
and a willing heart

That one prayer
like a grain of sand among millions
will change life forever

A prayer like this...
Father, praise you for Jesus.
Thank You that You came to earth
and died for me
Forgive me for I have sinned
but through Jesus
I have the hope of forgiveness
As I accept Jesus as the Saviour of my life
I pray for Your blessing to follow You
until the day you call me home to heaven
In Jesus name
Amen
