The Healing Page - Poem by Darrel Davis
Open page before me call forth the words from my pen.
Words that exercise the darkest fears from my heart.
Words tinged with pain, regret and despair.
Not everyone will understand these dark sayings.
They are the struggles of a soul battered between the Rock of Hope and the sea of life.
Words that are a testament to the battle for the spirit.
Are there enough pages to contain their number?
When they are written will the heart be mended?
Will they spill out from the well to the leaf?
Or will they comeforth kicking and screaming like hot tears from a child?
Only the words know and they refuse to talk.
