The Incomplete Love Story
The waters of the love river were too deep
I was ignorant its banks were so much steep
A few pages of my story are yet to be written
To complete it come back in my arms and sleep
I was silent, yet pains could not remain in hide
My eyes relayed my heart beats and painful beep
Come and listen to what happened in loneliness
Youth I passed in tears though I could not weep
My beloved's anger has love in its depths
I see love, through the unkind eyes when I peep
Once I saw your old black and white portrait
I found you in my arms with your naughty creep
I found you laughing on your pains and defeats
Oh Arzoo! In your frustrations you never weep.
گہرا تھا بہت عشق كے دریاؤں کا پانی
میں ڈوب گئی پانی میں نادان دیوانی
کچھ صفحے ابھی لکھنے کو باقی ہیں میرے دوست
آجا کہہ ادھوری ہے محبت کی کہانی
میں چُپ تھی مگر چھپ نہ سکا دَرْد غم دِل
آنكھوں نے بتا دی ہے میرے دِل کی کہانی
آ جا کہہ سناؤں تجھے تنہائی كے قصے
رَو رَو كے صدا میں نے گزاری ہے جوانی
اس شخص كے غصے میں محبت بھی چھپی ہے
ہے بے رحمیی یار محبت کی نشانی
لگتا تھا مجھے تو میرے پہلو میں کہیں ہے
اک بار جو دیکھی تیری تصویر پرانی
ہنس ہنس كے اٹھایا ہے سدا بوجھ غموں کا
ااے آرزو اِس دِل نے کبھی ہر نہ مانی
