The Keep - Poem by Nichole Hoehn

Find me in the dragons kept
You’ll never find me
Look and look if you dare
But I was never there
I was locked up in a room
Just to await my final doom
Yes I changed but it’s not really me
It’s just a zombie
I’m trapped into this life
Well I was always a child left behind
You can’t see my face
Because of this horrible FAITH
I was left in the rain
Just to feel the pain
As each dropp landed on my head
I thought of doing this instead
But look at me now
Look at what I’ve become
So go away before the keeper sees
I just need you to leave…

Leave me alone
I don’t need your help now
I can make it on my own
But I wont give in
The hurt is just too big
So I will be left behind
To see god soon
He’ll be there to save me
That’s what I used to think
But I realized god didn’t try to save me
