The Last Waltz - Poem by Snehal Amembal Shiralkar

And then they danced to

the song of death,

Life and soul,

That's where they met

Sometimes they moved faster,

At times they were slow,

To be one again,

They had to dance once more...

With every step taken,

They felt they were there,

Until a calm swept over

And pulled them away...

Apart once more,

They tried to unite,

The rythm it became faster,

It was death they had to fight..

The ugly hand of death,

Overshadowed their feeble dance,

'You've lived your life', it gestured,

'There is no second chance'....
