Tick tock, tick tock
Can't stop, that clock,
Bell rings, I wake
Big stretch, I take.
I rise, sore head
Warm in, my bed,
Draw back, bed sheet
Cold floor, cold feet.
My drapes, pull wide
Still dark outside,
Rain runs, down glass
When shall, it pass?
Street light, through gloom
Shines in, my room,
Big yawn, so tired
Don't feel, inspired.
Must run, I'm late
For work, can't wait,
Same job, same store
Can't take, much more.
Tick tock, tick tock
Can't stop, that clock,
Watch as, time goes
New day, same woes.
Great poem Andrew, very well composed, very good rhyming too. I really enjoyed reading this one. A little different from your usual poetry. Nice one. Always good to have a change and try something new. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
I can hear the clock tick-tocking its way through this very clever poem Andrew. Your language has an almost automaton delivery and the whole piece charges along like a racehorse at speed. The message underpinning your light-hearted words is not unnoticed either. Great poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Great write Andy, you have captured the monotony of everyday living in the flow of this write. Well penned, 10 Lynda xx
I enjoyed this so very much because, it is such a natural feel we each have every morning. At least I do.. It captures the feeling of OH HUM that you have painted so very well.... Enjoyed this also as it is a feeling we all can relate to.... Very nicely written in true classic form inwhich we all have grown to love... Bonnie

Like or not, do or don't time waits for none! If we don't beat time by our briskness our woes will continue forever. Tick tock will not stop because it is an invincible spirit! Nice poem to read as it provokes many ideas on Time!
