The Power Of Your Words

Rating: 4.7

Inspiring and gentle words
Are like the warm embrace
Of a loving mother
Their wisdom and kind intentions
Can give birth to a good person.

Words that carry lies and are malicious
Penetrate like the sharp blade of a knife
And cut the core of being
They can kill a great person
And turn him into a demon.

Wow! Poetic and heart felt words of wisdom for everyone to hopefully abide by Rose Marie. A modern day Desiderata mantra, so beautifully and well written. 10++ but it should be more and added to my wise poems golden chalice. Thank you Rose Marie for writing and sharing this sparkling gem.

As the Bible says: “For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of the soul and spirit, and of the joints and their marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”—Heb.4: 12, NW. I love this poem, dear ate Rose....10++??????

The Power Of Your Words, so true. Kind and loving words when said, are heart warming and touch our hearts, but rude and brutal words can make a person very angry and be insulted. Thank you so much for sharing this excellent poem.

I fully agree with your words in the poem you shared, dear Mrs. The first stanza so true, and so is the second so true too. You precisely wrote the words you wish to convey. I cite your first two lines of the first stanza: Inspiring and gentle words Are like the warm embrace..............Indeed dear great poetess, Harsh words get rude responses, thank you for sharing this amazing poem. A 10 Full Score. God's Blessings
