The Resigning Cloud Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

The Resigning Cloud

Rating: 5.0

The cloud didn't pour down
moved toward the sky exit
grazing the mountain wall
leaving out smoke lines in folds
before it vanished

Underneath, the veil
that the cloud left behind-
this one didn't speak
but its mute presence did make
few eyelids wet

Her story didn't unfold
it retreated into the mute canvas
without leaving a single stroke

Waking up in the morning
I noticed the plants carry
hot silent teardrops

The cloud would have poured down
on the other side of the horizon wall

A poignant poem embellished with compelling images and metaphors. Life is like the flow of a river. It seeks its own path.
