The Rooks Poem by David Wood

The Rooks

Rating: 4.4

I fed the two ravens I see
As I walked around the lake
They follow me from tree to tree
Three hours after daybreak

I've known them for a long time now
They seem to know when I come
Waiting patiently on an alder bough
And grateful for any crumb
