*** The Summer`s Rain

Rating: 3.9

Summer rain

From the early hours onto this rain
Summer still awaits to the shower
Sun when rises by the hope of the day
weather of innocence still assails the cry

hoping the smiles of the lilac
across the summer’s rain of fear
sorrow yet allays to the sea.
thirst of night seemingly deep by the dream

let me close my eyes imbecile
for this moment to dream faster
as the night yet sleeps when assuaged
into the depth yet not accomplished

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

It's a very beautiful poem, but I don't understand the meaning of one word...I'm talking about 'imbecile'... what is the meaning of this word in this line? Please explain - English isn't my first language and sometimes I get confused... I know one meaning, but it really doesn't make any snse when you use it here...

The final stanza is HUGE! Perhaps that last line should read 'into the depth not yet accomplished...' Love the line - 'let me close my eyes imbecile', the image of weak-minded eyes failing to assist faster dreaming is classic. Rgds, Ivan

The sun gets befuddled by the outcry of rain in the summer. An imaginative mind acquires imbecility at the sudden spill over of darkness due to overcast sky and goes into slumber.Your poems are so soothing, as if they always lay a deep layer of balm over the mind.

Tears of joy like summer raindrops Forever the desire, to be drenched Sorrows melted away in flow Relief struck human soul Dares to dream into a flower valley. Enjoyed this read. Thank you.
