The Tavern - Η Ταβέρνα
Unfair is the owner of this tavern
He pours life drop by drop
and death all at once
Άδικος ο ταβερνιάρης!
Σταγόνα σταγόνα κερνά τη ζωή
το θάνατο μονορούφι.
A fresh little novel thought put in a small poem. I agreed immediately, but then a doubting Tom in me came to fore. Why, death too inches forward 'drop by drop' as you say. The point it reaches its max damage is called death. A lovely piece all the same.
This poem has the same mystic beauty as Rumi's poetry. Loved it!

This poem speaks such painful truth which makes the reader wade in thoughts of creation and existence. Indeed one often asks the Tavern Owner if it is possible to start creation all over again … 10+
