The Things That Poets Say Poem by Sandra Feldman

The Things That Poets Say

Rating: 5.0

Leave it to Poets,
To say crazy things,
Like roses have feelings,
And poems have wings.

Not really that silly,
Roses may hurt,
When clipped from their bush
And delicate poems,
May enter your heart
Then fly away with it,
Never to part.

Not easy being a poet,
Juggling words around,
Giving verse musical meaning.
Only, when right words are found.
