Walking through the perilous tunnel
Alone in the dark on the long track
Way is narrow, little space to walk
A small slip could be a disaster
Each step at risk on the slippery path
Horrifying rock walls and webs
Rusty drainage pipes on the walls
Scary ruins enveloped the way
When fierce train flashed light from afar
And the whistles heard closer and closer
Closed my eyes stepping on the walkway
And the obstacle passed in its own speed.
With hope the journey continues
At the end of tunnel is the golden sky
Brighter and shining world for me
To begin a new chapter in my life.
Beautiful poem on confidence. What ever darkness the night is, it must get morning. Your last stanza reveals this. Many thanks dear Rini, may God elevate your poetic thoughts.
an interesting poem of like the saying goes there is light at the end of a tunnel? it is just that some tunnels are longer than others? ............well written
Hi Rini, Life, for nobody, is a bed of roses. The paths of life is always slippery, and proceeding with firm steps is the challenge. There is darkness everywhere, but your confidence and hope are the lanterns you have to carry with you. And a calamity in the form a speeding train can appear from nowhere at any point in time. There is only your confidence to see you through! And scattered throughout are Scary ruins enveloping the way- Ruins that are monuments of those failed in their lives! ! , Scary because they challenge your confidence, hope! And, as the proverb goes, there light at the end of the tunnel! ! The light is bright, in proportion to hardships you have endured. Marvelous write! A full 10++++, and an entry in mypoemlist, to remind me to come back for a re..Thank you Rini.. And all the best.
To gain there ought to be pain...Thanks for your marvelous comment and it's an honor to me you added in your poemlist. Rini

Nice Poem. It seems to be saying that a dangerous journey can sometimes have great rewards. There was certainly a lot of intrigue.
