The War Is Logic Versus Faith Poem by Obed dela Cruz

The War Is Logic Versus Faith

Rating: 5.0

There were these two great generals.
The two of them are best of friends.
They talked, walked, and planned together.
Their friendship may last forever.

They are too wise for you to cheat.
When you fight them, you are dead meat.
They are the best of their people.
Before their eyes, their foes tremble.

When you hear their names, you may clap or hide.
It’s either you’re their foe or at their side.
At first, you may underestimate them.
But they’re more than reality, they’re not sham.

Suddenly, at the middle of their friendship,
Because they had this conflict, so very deep,
One kept his wisdom, and one reasoned out!
Because of this, people, in grief, they all shout!

The people began to choose whose side they are.
The world people thought was sweet now turned sour.
The competition of these two generals,
Is one of the reasons why this world now falls.

They try to win the heart of every person,
That’s why the war heats up on and on and on.
One general tries to win through reasoning,
And the other shares what life should we be living.

The people look at this war with seriousness.
The people lived and acted with consciousness.
Now, the new facts presented must be proven,
In order to avoid the tricks of the clown.

Logic shouts and promises good life and wealth.
He says he can give it without any stealth.
Faith promises more but you must trust in Him.
He can bring you out from the horrible dim.

Both of them are well-skilled and mannered.
Both are gentlemen that cannot be shattered.
With Faith, you may have the prize with amendments.
But with logic, you may have the prize with sure requirements.

Just remember, your prize will last forever
When it is possessed through hard work and trust,
Than to see the impossibilities
And never make those impossibilities possible.

The war is Logic versus Faith.
My question is, whose army are you in?

Logic has a certain rigidity in it. With faith in GOD, all things are possible.
