Captain Cur has sailed from Poem Hunter
into the friendlier waters of All Poetry.
A poet who called herself Mandolyn …
(no surname, just the ellipsis)
made the move years ago.
Pamela Sinecrope was an alias
for a poet who left Poem Hunter.
I'm not sure if she went to All Poetry
or not.
Laurie Van Der Hart made the switch
because she didn't like the loud
commercials for war games that
Poem Hunter superimposed
on her poems.
In your preferences, you can tell
Poem Hunter that you do not want
videos attached to your poems,
but it does not matter. They ignore
your wishes and do it anyway.
They do it so they can attach
those commercials. They are more
interested in making money
than pleasing the members.
All Poetry is free for a basic membership,
but to post pictures with your poems,
you have to pay extra.
Wes Vogler now has a premium membership
there so that he can publish his excellent
comic strip, "Early Days with Oogie".
You don't see Wes posting anything
on this site anymore. He is finished here.
This website used to be easy and fun;
now I must say: its neither one.
Poem Hunter is free.
That's the only reason that I stay.
This poem is so right that it explodes with the delight of all here, poets thatm wanted to say the same thing but did not have nor the talent not the guts to do so! Thank you, for nothing but the truth, for us All.
You have done an excellent job with this poem. You are correct when you say that the version of Poem Hunter is no longer easy and no longer fun. I really miss the OLD Poem Hunter and wish they would bring it back!
Thanks for informing the website! I know a few others who have left, and seem happy at All Poetry. I hope to see many of you there also, thank you.
Poem Hunter has inserted several line breaks in the poem where they do not belong! That is very frustrating, and one of the reasons that Captain Cur finally left Poem Hunter for AllPoetry. Check your own poems! Has Poem Hunter done that to your recent poems also?
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
That's Wes Vogler in the picture. We miss you, Wes! Happy sailing, Captain Cur! We will also miss you and the others who have left us!
