Thinking Of You
Our eyes met yesterday
behind our stupid masks
that we are forced to wear
as we try to stay safe
from that invisible,
deadly killer that stalks
and frets us all the time.
I couldn't see your face
but your eyes had sparkle
and a jolt of something
hit me right in the heart.
We were only passing
at the post office, yet
I felt I was in love!
I know this cannot be;
most probably we will
never meet again, but
I can't stop thinking sweet
thoughts of you. Married?
Single? Available?
I doubt I'll ever know.
