This Nutness Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

This Nutness

At first it was repulsive.
This nutness.
Too overwhelming.
Although believed could be ignored.
And then one day became more days it stayed.
This nutness to witness,
Began to have it craved.
In ways no one could refuse its taste.
Leaving minds once bright.
Left dulled without insight.
And seen to roam loose.
Publicly to do on streets unglued.
By someone or something wanting this done.
To welcome such a nutness to expect and accept.
Until the effect of it,
Is too addicting to refuse.
