Can you peer through those eyes?
The radiance must be blinding.
As I gaze into them I've come to understand
what the ancients must have felt,
looking up toward the shimmering night sky.
All the mysteries and wonders of life
are clearly reflected, as is the light.
And even if I'd never be sure
just what chemicals kindle a stars faithful burn.
I would still spend every night
dreaming up poems about your eyes.
I love the creativity. It's a very sweet and lovely poem. Keep it up!
Very special, these eyes... and the rest of her, too, I guess... (smile) For some reason your poems make me think of Robert Burns... very romantic, he was... please, read my A Love Poem - minimalistic...
I re-visit this poem from time to time and just wanted to dropp a quick note telling you how much I love it. Beautiful poem-I love the second verse and the ending especially.
This is my favorite one of yours. I like them all, however I think you may be trying too hard. Instead of writing about the meaning of life, write about ONE petal on a flower. Keep it short, too. NO unnecessary words. GRAB the essence of it! People always ask me for advise on this site, and when they ask, I'm honest. Hope you don't mind. Keep writing. You have a lot of great ideas in there. Scott.
Although I prefer the dark romantic poems the beauty of a woman's eyes enthralls me. Kudos
This is a very beautiful poem that seems to be coming straight from your heart. very nice.
