Tug O' War (C) 5-4-2010 - Poem by Corey Threet
When does it end?
The constant pulling and tugging,
Which way should I go?
Is there a right choice?
No matter where I go
I still will never know what the other side had to offer
I’m growing weak why can’t I tear in two
Maybe then both sides would be satisfied
I don’t want to choose sides but they’re at equal strengths
And I’m not one to be bias.
Is it my fault that I displayed such an attractive joy?
Now I’m stuck in the middle of my own game.
I can’t take it anymore it hurts so much
And there’s only so much that a rope can take
Please someone help me cut me in half or something
Just don’t let me suffer in this game forever.
