Growin up in the streets where you gotta be the cool
After all if you not you just might look like a fool
Never to be a failure like your everyday peers
Kids with guns walking around keepin the streets to their ears
Tryin to fall into the category of being the coolest
Me & my sneakers observe the dudes that’s doing the cruelest
We all want the same thing but can that ever come true
No it could never so we kick push and do what the hustlers do
Tryin to be something to show the world that I’m somethin real
So I lay the instrumental down and give them a beat they can feel
They listen to the groove but they like the Emperor’s soundtrack
They want me to dumb it down but that dude is around back
I’m destined to be free and I’m goin up in the process
To be a superstar no more bein a noob or a novice
The alert for the intruder sounded and I had to leave
So I started playing Jedi mind tricks so they could believe
Now I gotta eat and the only thing to munch is the free chilly
The girl was hungry so I said go baby but she said no its go Lily
Lily was cool but she believed Paris, Tokyo was her home
So I had to try to retrieve her mind from the dreaded twilight zone
And he gets the girl my boy screamed after it was legal
The boy is seein sunshine, walkin around like he was regal
I was slippin and fallin till he came and put me on game
Showed me the streets were on fire and I was engulfed by the flame
Girls are like little weapons they’re cute but they proceed with their job
They wait till he gets the girl when the hearts they decide they’ll rob
Now I coulda been a rapper, a hustler or just a complete joke
But I’m a fighter and I made sure you can never catch me smoke
I’m not part of an arms race but the sword I have unsheathed
Now I’m luxurious as the Bills set em back 1st and 15th
