Until We Meet Again (For Carmel Azzopardi) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Until We Meet Again (For Carmel Azzopardi)

Rating: 5.0

It's getting easier to accept
That you're gone
When I look outside the window
The memories are almost faded
Though little things like watching
Our favorite shows, alone,
Makes me want to cry
But not as much as I used to
I still remember yr voice laughing
And yr smile is unforgettable
As it stops me in my tracks
Only if you see me now
Hoping on a prayer
We'll be together someday

Most beautiful poem, full of melancholy to happier days. Indded, this feels like an empty nest syndrom, every mother has to conquer her sad feelings being left alone in nothingness. Loveliest worded and well captured. This poem touched my very soul. Thank you for sharing. Your great love for her is true visible. Very fascinating, dear poetess.
