Dear Madam, Hope you are doing well. I wanted to request your permission to use the verse/Prayer from the Yajur Veda (36-17) for a book. Could you please send me your email address so I can send a formal publisher form for release/permission approval? I would greatly appreciate your help in this matter. Thank you so much Priya C: 917-774-4667

We need peace and we get peace from prayer to God. You have rightly said in Poet's Note that these are Peace chants from the Vedas. The best part about these' Peace chants' are that they are universal. It is not for a particular religion, cast, creed, sect, colour, language or country. It is for all human beings alike. Thank you dear Dr Geeta madam for sharing this well translated poem.

We absolutely need this Vedic prayer especially in these times of uncertainty. Yes, peace everywhere must be our ultimate aim every single day. A wonderful and meaningful poem that we should always put to heart and mind. A well thought out and conveyed write.

It gives me great joy to read this popular Vedic prayer yet one of the most appealing universal chants dedicated to 'shanti' or peace everywhere. Thanks, Geeta ji, for sharing this prayer and for an excellent translation. May peace prevail all around us.

Yes peace for you dear poetess and all of us. Our history of wars in our short lives is overwhelming and a chaotic, murderous roar.. I truly appreciate your lovely poem and beautiful plea for peace which I wholeheartedly share!

And this verse should be chanted by all of humanity. Sri Chinmoy used to teach meditation at the United Nations. Both the peace chant and the meditation are desperately needed at this time in history. Well done, Geeta!
