Volcanic Love
The concealed effervescence
of the snowy mountain's magma:
the fire beneath the ice,
the red beneath the white,
the love beneath indifference: —
once ignited,
it cannot be extinguished!
For it is quietly smouldering
beneath the surface—
ready for eruption.
Time can only intensify it.
Moreover, the waiting
is the taciturn preparation
for eruption:
thus, the earthly elements
conspire to love,
by a firm endurance,
which transcends
the boundaries of time.
