War Is Fought For What Is Right Rarely

Rating: 5.0

for me if I were free given a choice
I would choose to be a student of history
not a student of war I have dreams hopes
that even a serial killer will tire of murder
that an elite soldier the state legalized killer
will tire of red hands blood running own red hands
without a single tear betraying stone cold killer
will innocent civilians steel attack cold rage murder
as a student of history War is (wars are often not)
fought for what is right but for agendas of greed power
conquest reward domination exploitation expanding empires
why is perfume corruption mutilation decay to killer sweet?
why are bombed out cities rotting bodies burning homes neat?
why is beauty peace blessed a shiver cannibalistic meal to eat?
